Timberwind
is located in Pleasant Valley, NY, about 2 hours north of New York City
and just east of Poughkeepsie. Timberwind
started as a dream in my mind, when I discovered Tervs as a teenager
and persuaded my parents to let me get one in 1978. It took many years
for the dream to become reality and it was 16 years before I decided
to breed my first litter. In
1994, I bred my CH Sky Acres Timberwind Storm, CD, HIC, C-BAR to Judy
Bradley's famous CH Crestar's Destyn, HIC, C-BAR. That litter produced
4 champions including my next brood bitch, Luna - the rest is history!
Luna
produced 3 lovely litters for me as well as won many awards and titles
- she was the epitome of the Belgian Tervuren standard and was the best
dog I ever owned. Luna's daughter Skye produced 4 lovely litters with
many champions including a Group Winning dog - and many performance
titled dogs. Skye is now retired and Supreme Couch Potato at Timberwind.
Skye's daughter Justine is now carrying on the tradition of Timberwind
and is well on her way to making her mark with her offspring! In 2011, I was recognized by the American Kennel Club as a Breeder of Merit and proudly carry on my breeding program of producing happy, healthy, sound Tervuren that meet the breed standard.
