Farewell "my leitla Lune",
I will hold you forever in my heart ~ until we meet again….

Out of my first litter, Luna was special from Day 1. She took the breed ring by storm - with a major at her first show at 6 months of age, a Group placement from the classes and finished her championship by 13 months of age. Specialed sparingly, Luna earned 3 more group placements, BOS at the BBTC Specialty in 1997 and BOS at Westminster 2000. She also proved herself in the performance arenas, earning her CD with a first placement, her ABTC HIC and her TD on the first try.

Luna had 3 outstanding litters, producing 10 champions with one more just minor points from finishing, and now 5 grandchildren champions with many more to follow. This earned Luna the coveted BAR award - Breeder Achievement Record - in 2005." Her offspring include a group placer, an AKC Best Puppy in Show, a Bred-By Exibitor group winner, and Award of Merit winner at Westminster. In addition, her puppies also have titles and 1st and 2nd placements in the herding, obedience and agility arenas. Besides producing beautiful show and performance dogs, Luna was famous for passing on the "snuggle gene" - her pups LOVE to cuddle and are wonderful companions for their owners.

Luna's most important and exciting win - and the crowning achievement in my life with tervs~ was at her very last show - the BBTC Specialty in 10/03 where she won Best In Show Specialty out of the Veteran class. I didn't know at the time, but she had been ill and 2 weeks after this win, I lost my Luna to cancer - very suddenly and heartbreakingly. Her last win was truly a reflection of her great heart, beauty and spirit. She showed her little heart out that day and had a ball, she knew she was beautiful ,she could take your breath away! Everyone talks about their "Heart Dog" ~ Luna was mine. From the day she was born she put those paws around my heart and never let go. She was the most loving, sensitive and devoted dog I have ever known - we shared a bond no words can describe.
We shared so many fun times and adventures together, and she was there by my side during sad times to lick away the tears. I shall miss her always, but take comfort in the fact that, though she cannot ever be replaced, she lives on in her many children and now grandchildren, giving much joy and love to their owners. She gave me more than I could have ever wanted…asking only to be by my side. The hardest thing I ever had to do was let her go…
