"Windy" is my very first Ibizan Hound. After having Belgian Tervuren for 30 years! I broke out of the terv box when I saw Windy's famous grandmother "Bunny"- CH Luxor's Playmate of the Year- win the Hound Group at Westminster several years ago. I had to have one, and it had to be related to Bunny so I contacted Bunny's owner Wendy Anderson and waited for over 2 years for my little Windy to arrive in July of 2008.

So strange to have a dog with short hair, well at least she has pointy ears! She is a delight, so sweet to all people and other dogs too. It is rabbits and small game she would like to annihilate! She is so athletic, elegant and beautiful.

Her show career started with a bang - with 3 Best Puppy In Match wins. She then finished her championship in short order, by the age of 10 months from the puppy classes. Her first major was won at the New Jersey Hound show in Feb, and included taking BOB over specials.

I sent her to the famous "Beezerfest" Ibizan gathering at the Louisville shows in March with my handler friend Joe Galka and he finished her with WB for 5 point majors in 2 out of 4 shows! There were 33 Ibizans entered each day so it was a huge win!

I am just thrilled with my girl. We think a successful specials career is in her future, while she matures we are going to try Rally and obedience. Stay tuned for more Windy adventures!
